  • Apple faces dilemma as cash holdings surpass entire economic output of Chile

    US tech giants Apple are the victims of its own incredible success, following a quarterly report which indicated its cash holdings, the vast majority of which is held overseas has surpassed the entire economic  out-put of Chile. Apple's stockpile of cash has reached a staggering $256.8 billion, and has sparked debate over what the technology leaders should do with such massive cash reserves.

  • BMW announce plans to introduce ‘electric vehicles’ to Chilean market

    Management at a leading multinational automotive retail and services firm have announced that German automaker BMW intends to lead the charge in relation to the ‘electrification' of cars in Latin America. Marco Garcia, Managing Director of Inchcape Chile made the announcement and outlined the vision of some of the other high-profile brands - his organization represent in South America

  • Chilean telco extends partnership with Ericsson to prepare for 5G

    Ericsson has extended its 20-year strategic partnership with Entel, the largest telecommunications company in Chile. Under the terms of the new contract, Ericsson will prepare Entel's network in the evolution path towards 5G by deploying its latest LTE FDD network technologies and LTE TDD Massive MIMO (Multiple-Input, Multiple-Output).
