  • Ford set to enter into joint-venture with Chinese firm to develop electric cars

    US car manufacturing colossus Ford Motor has announced that it is currently weighing up the prospect of entering into a joint-venture with Chinese automotive firm Zotye. The collaboration between both parties would see them combine their expertise in order to develop and manufacture electric vehicles under a new brand - in a bid to exploit the boom for electric cars in the world's leading auto market.

  • French car manufacturer will go ‘electric’ by 2025

    Groupe PSA, the second largest car manufacturer in Europe has announced a joint venture with Nidec, the leading comprehensive motor manufacturer, to create “Nidec-PSA emotors”. Carlos Tavares, Chief Executive Officer of Groupe PSA and MM Shigenobu Nagamori, Chief Executive Officer of Nidec, endorsed today the establishment of the new project dedicated to the design, development, manufacture and sale of electric traction motors.
