Lately, du has been very active in the area of smart cities given the efforts deployed in Dubai to make the city a leading smart city. In this context, it has chosen to take part in the 2nd edition of Smart Cities World Forums’ “Building the SMART Future” conference as the Smart ICT Partner. Dubai was voted the ‘Best Regional Smart City’ in 2018. Smart Dubai received the award at the Telecom Review Excellence Awards Ceremony which was organized on the evening of December 10th during the 11th edition of the Telecom Review Leaders’ Summit. The city was chosen following an online voting campaign.

The figure is expected to reach USD 2.7 billion (SAR 10.125 billion) in the Middle East and Africa.
