TRA signs MoU with Smart Dubai to launch a unified digital ID

As part of its participation in GITEX Technology Week 2017, the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in partnership with Smart Dubai, aiming to develop a unified digital identity in the UAE. The agreement enhances the mutual cooperation between federal and local governments, in line with the UAE's strategy to launch and implement unified projects at the national level that contribute to achieving the goals of UAE Centennial 2071, UAE Vision 2021, and sustainable development.

TRA Director-General praises UAE Strategy for Artificial Intelligence

The Director-General of the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) in the UAE, H.E. Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, released a statement on October 17 praising the UAE's Strategy for Artificial Intelligence (AI). The UAE Strategy for Artificial Intelligence is the launch of a sustainable and data-centric future, he said.

Dubai to close service centers on Oct. 26 to encourage digital channels

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has approved an initiative called 'A Day without Service Centers'. Launched by Dubai Department of Finance (DOF), the initiative aims to encourage customers to turn to smart channels to obtain and complete government services and transactions.

Dubai Airport and DEWA sign MOU in effort to promote Smart Dubai initiatives

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) have signed a memorandum of understanding with Dubai Airports to expand cooperation and promote Smart Dubai. The agreement aims to unify energies and resources, exchange knowledge, innovation, ideas and promotes effective communication to implement DEWA's three smart initiatives at Dubai Airports.
