Dubai reinforces safety with second smart police station

Crown Prince of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum opened the second Smart Police Station (SPS) in Dubai at La Mer, Jumeirah, a year after Dubai's first SPS was inaugurated last September at City Walk.

The station will run automated operations and services and will receive labour complaints, home security requests, human trafficking crimes, victim support, fine payment, in addition to other police services

Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police Major-General Abdullah Khalifa Al Merri said, "The smart station will operate 24/7 and offer 27 key services, including reporting of crimes, traffic incidents and community services. It will also provide 33 fully automated sub-services."

Dubai Crown Prince expressed his happiness for the development achieved by Dubai Police and their effort to keep Dubai a happy and safe city.

Visitors at the station can communicate online with police officers 24/7 by clicking on an electronic dashboard.

More smart police stations will be launched at later dates with the aim of providing and facilitating access to smart police services, as well as saving people's time and effort.
